A Day with Grandma Young

"The PUPPET MASTER"

Mom took us to try out a new place for lunch called "Morg's Diner" and it was delish! They had REAL MILKSHAKES that were divine and even had some jukebox music playing so OF COURSE we had to put in a quarter and pick three songs. We picked, "Sugar, Sugar"... "Born to be Wild"... and "In the Jungle"! It was really fun! Thanks, Mom!!!

Gram and Eden

Ollie and Me
Jaren sat here and every now and again he would dance with the music while we sang along!

Eden and Ollie. They loved being able to choose what songs to sing to!

PHELPS YOUTH PAVILLION

After lunch we went to the Youth Pavillion downtown and had fun trying out the different centers. This was a one room schoolhouse with benches and slates to write on. Ma... you look a little goofy in this pic! :o)

Eden and Gram posing as the couple in "American Gothic".

Milkmaid Eden

Ollie loading up some bales of "hay"!

Eden and Ollie picking veggies and flowers from the garden. The dirt is actually small black pieces of rubber.

Grandma and Oliver in the Time Machine. The last time I was on this, it shook me so much that I had to use the restroom afterward!

Oliver making some rainbow design on the computer. They had lots of things, so much so that we didn't even see them all!

Jaren LOVED playing the bongo drums!

"Good Afternoon, Miss Eden!"

This is what it would look like if I had twins!

Jaren and me in the infant room.

Cultures of the world. I think Eden was in the Mexico house. They were making play tortillas.
Oliver trying some noodles! Sweet dinner jacket!

Oliver and Eden loved trying out ALL of the puppets! I love Ollie's face in this picture!

Eden making a noodle necklace for me! How thoughtful! Both her and Oliver LOVE doing arts and crafts!

Oliver and Grandma designing their own animal pictures.

Looks like it was a fun day! I had to post a comment about Morg's Diner. Once upon a time I made pies for a living -- delivering 3-4 pies to Morg's at 6:00 a.m. every weekday.

how fun...I love the youth pavillion! It is always so crazy when we go ( that thursady when it is only a dollar to get in).
