Today was a normal day. I felt like I was getting a cold. Tired as always from not being able to sleep the night before. Ed's at work, kids are at school and Jaren is at G&G Palmer's house. Another lonely day to sit and think about my crappy luck lately. My good friend, Meg calls and wanted to bring me lunch, but I was asleep. She called back later and said she had something to drop off. She came about 5:30 or 6ish with a basket of goodies for me. She said it was the 2nd Shift Survival Kit... since Ed was about to switch from 1st to 2nd shift at work. She knows that I've been worried because of my health, but also because I don't like to be alone at night in our horrible neighborhood. A friend who works for the sheriff's department here in town said that our neighborhood is the worst one in the city now... YAY, US! ARGH!!! Anyways... she began pulling various items out and explaining their significance to me! I got a kick out of the Sweet and Sour gummy bears as I would have some sweet days and some sour days and also the eye patch because I will now have to sleep with one eye open!!! I was DYING LAUGHING!!! I soooo needed a good laugh! Thanks again, Meg... H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!!
By that time the kids were all home, but Ed wasn't scheduled to get home until around 8:30. We chatted for a while and then someone else knocks on the door and it's my friend, Jenelle! I'm like... "Okay... what is going on!?" :O) She comes in with some bags of stuff and then puts a casserole in my freezer and some other food and then plops down to give me a foot massage. I opted out of the foot massage as I'm weird about my feet, but she gave me a hand massage instead! They said that they had called Ed and were kidnapping me for a girl's night! Ed was coming home a little early from work so we could go out and eat and chat! A MUCH NEEDED NIGHT OUT!!! :O) We sat and chatted for a while, I got ready and then Ed got home and we went out to eat at Las Margaritas. I could have eaten chips and salsa all night long!!! :O) After dinner, we went back to Jenelle's house and talked for several hours... laughing all the while!!! THANK YOU, LADIES!!! I sooooooo needed a night out to forget about my problems and just LAUGH!!! And THANK YOU, HONEY for coming home early so I could go out! *LOVES*

A MUCH NEEDED Ladies Campout!
14 & 15 August, 2009 - Holiday Lake Ladie's Campout

We went for an evening ride on the golf cart and swam a little more. It looks like I'm sliding off the back!

I had the chance to get together with some fun ladies from church for a much needed ladie's overnight campout at Diana's cabin. It was a BLAST!!! Thanks, Diana!!!
Meg, Krista and I in the van before heading down to the cabin!

The cabin and 'the little engine that almost couldn't'........ ;o)

Krista wedging herself into the floatie!!! HA!

Hey... I'm Elliot from "Open Season"!!!

The gals headin' down to the lake for a swim!

It was heaven to just lay on my raft and float for several hours chatting about 'gardening'...

Nice view of the beach and the lake from our golf cart ride.
"That's a NICE hill........"
Susie and Diana sitting by the fire. We all stayed up until 2:30 am and then headed in to bed. Meg, Susie, Krista and I were still really giggly and just could not sleep so we went outside and gabbed by the fire until 4:30!! TOO FUN!!! I love those ladies!

I LOVE this pic of Krista... exhaling... HA HA!

Too much smoke! I guess I'm just too sexy! Because ya know... smoke follows the sexy ladies... ;o)

Our group picture before most ladies left for home. Krista, Charity, Diana, Jamie, Niki, Susie, Katie, Me and Meg. What a fun group!

Mormon moms gone WILD!!! ;o) HA!

After most ladies left, Susie, Diana, Meg and myself ventured out for a swim. Although it was slightly overcast, the lake was very busy! I felt sick floating on my raft with all the waves, so we went ashore and laid on the beach for a bit. Here is Diana on her 'ramiumptum'.... ;o)

Meg walked in and found me doing my physical therapy exercises... my cat stretch to be exact! Look at my HAIR! I look like Willy Wonka!!! Frizzle Fry!

I soooooooooo needed a girl's trip, but it really could have been a tad longer! ;o) We all had so much fun! This needs to be a tradition... The 'Mom's Gone Wild Campout'!!!

Women's Choir & Scrap Night
Thursday, February 12th, 2009
Tonight was a fun-filled night out with the girls that I desperately needed! It all started at around 6:20... (It was supposed to start at 6 pm, but since I had to wait for Ed to get home to watch the kiddos AND our van has been dead with a flat tire in the driveway for like 2 weeks now... it was more like 6:20 when the fun really began...)
I drove to church for our new Women's Choir that Naomi, my sister-in-law, put together. She is a music teacher by day and thought that it would be fun to form a group of ladies to sing together during the week. We had a lot of fun and it reminded me of Jr. High when I was in lots of different music groups. I was in 7th grade Women's Choir, 8th grade Women's Choir and Mixed Swing Choir. I sang alto throughout my days in the choirs at school, but never really learned how to properly read music. I'm really excited that she's going to actually teach us things about music that we otherwise wouldn't probably learn! I'm really excited about this! :o)
Choir practice got over at about 7 pm and then Krista and I headed over to Diane's house for our scrapbooking night that we go to once night each month. We get to meet with other ladies who share our love of scrapping and giggle and act like 13 year olds! Oh... it's sooooooo much fun! :o) I love that I can spend a little money each month to expand my scrap stuff, get together with other ladies and destress and also to get creative and make things with my own two hands! I just love it AND I truly feel that I NEED it in my life! I'm blessed with a husband who agrees! Ed always lets me do what I want and is just awesome about it! Tonight we had to choose a Background and Texture paper that we wouldn't normally use in our scrapbooks. She wanted to show us that we could make our page pretty even by using paper that we wouldn't ordinarily use! It was so much fun!

Food, Flowers and Friends - October 15, 2008
We went to the East Bremer Diner and I was surprised to see Mandy there with flowers! I knew we were going out to eat, but didn't know what they had planned! So... here is the first arrangement, which is my computer background for the fall, with the gorgeous gerbera daisies that I love! I loved all the colors of autumn that were incorporated.
As the flowers died off, I got rid of the stems that were suffering and made a second arrangement to enjoy! This one felt more springlike and was equally as beautiful as the first!
THANKS AGAIN... LADIES...
