On Saturday, the 13th of October, we went to Cullan & Kael Gillespie's 1st and 2nd birthday party! Meg made a cute invitation that said, "Double the trouble, double the fun, Cullan's turning two and Kael's turning one!" How cute is that!?! The party was out in Independence at Garran's parents house. The house was decorated with bats overhead and pumpkins and cobwebs and lights! So cute! The spread was nice and yummy too! M&M's, caramel apples, relish tray, cheese and crackers, cake and cupcakes galore! Yeah... tasty goodness!!!
When we walked in, we saw a board with cute pictures of the boys throughout the year. Meg had some papers laid out so that we could write them a little birthday wish to put in their scrapbook! Everyone just died laughing when they saw Ollie as "Pee Wee Herman". He looked just like him!
First, we all went outside and the kids played and then took turns trying to break the pinata. Meghan and Garran actually made it themselves! It was a really cool witch head! It flew out of the witch hat and onto the ground. Garran and Joey rigged it back up and then it broke open and it was the candy explosion the kids were all waiting for!
Then, we came back inside and the kids played a pass the pumpkin game. I chatted with Meg and Mandy and then Mandy put her "costume" on... a mullet... so becoming!!! The kids were so cute in their costumes! AND... so were the adults I might add! We had a really fun time celebrating with Cullan and Kael and their family and other friends! It's so fun to watch them grow... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOYS!!!"
