Spontaneous Gillespie - Palmer Family Date Night

Well, today after the Pampered Chef party, we met up with the Gillespie's at Hartman Reserve to take some family pictures. It was a beautiful day, sunny and around 60 degrees. The leaves have all been turning and are just gorgeous around here! I LOVE the bright red and orange leaves that almost look neon they are so bright! BEAUTIFUL!! Anyways... we walked around and took some photos in front of some bright yellow and green leaves and then we found a tree that had fallen and climbed up on it to get a shot of Ed and I. I felt like we were on "The Bridge to Terabithia" when we were walking along the fallen tree. Meg said that it reminded her of the movie "Dirty Dancing" when she was dancing on the tree... so of course I had to do a little jig up there... all the while praying that I wouldn't fall off and get a concussion!! Hey... anything for a laugh, right?! :)

Later, we went to Walmart to get the prints made and they were kind of fuzzy and dark. Meg said that we should go in the morning and then the colors will pop out more. There just wasn't enough light. We got a few good ones though!

While we were waiting for the photos to be developed, we went to Diamond Dave's for dinner. I must say... their salsa for the chips tastes like BBQ sauce... NASTY! Not happiness in my mouth! Twizzlers make mouths happy, NOT Diamond Dave's Salsa... *shutter*... The kids had fun making Kael laugh and squeal with delight! It was a fun evening and I loved that it was a spontaneous outing with our good friends, Meghan and Garran!
